When people hear my name or my brand name, what would they think about? I can do multiple design starting from graphic design to engineering modelling and 3D modelling to architectural and as well as motion graphics and little animation and I am also a clay artist, a sculptor and an artist (hand drawing and painting). But the question is which among these are really my forte? Which among these can make the people say, “oh! I know her, she does this and that and she is awesome!” (Sorry for lifting my own chair! Lol)
When I was a small child, I really love to draw. I have this small drawing book filled with drawings and paintings. Most of them are nature. But one drawing that I really liked. It was a Dragon Ball drawing and I am not sure if I bought the poster from my classmate or she gave it to me. But that was my reference. It was a drawing of Son Goku in his Kinton Cloud with his stick. It was the first time I draw an anime character. And I also put colour on it exactly the same as the poster I had reference on with all the shadows and nitty gritty details on it. I got this talent of mine from my Papa.
Fast forward to the time I’m working already. The company I worked at was an engineering tooling company. This is where I learned how to do engineering drawing. My uncle taught me the basic and the rest is self-taught and researching on how to do this and that. Then time passes by and I moved on to another company and this time it is a digital printing company. My job here wasn’t as a graphic designer, but a design staff who do the documentations. Then they also taught me the basic of graphic designing. And then the rest is self-taught again.
Each day and year passed by and I am just learning and learning the new trend in designing. I even learned other 3D modelling on my own as time passes by. My curiosity leads me to this.
I know I am not the only one who experiencing this stage in their life. I know some people also wonder what their life will be in the future. Just don’t stop in finding what you are really passionate about. Train yourself, enhance your skills, learn new techniques, make your own way to do things, and always love what you do. \
For me, I found my passion for arts and I can definitely say that “Art is life!”
